A young doctor, Taj, is posted in a remote border village where he unexpectedly falls in love with Mumtaz, a girl from across the border. Their forbidden love is cut short by tragedy during a dangerous night journey, but their story lives on forever as the villagers build a “Tajmahal” in their memory.
